Explore La Ponderosa Reserve’s 13 hectares which lie in a stunning valley in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta. Whether you choose to take one of our guided farm tours or walk independently through our cacao fruit forest. Explore the rock pools along the crystalline Buritaca River followed by a hike up to the mirador. Rise early to see the views of the snowy peaks… or simply sit back and relax in a hammock. There is something for everyone.
Permaculture
La Ponderosa Reserve was built following permaculture principles and is a working farm. One of the project objectives was to create an educational space for knowledge sharing whilst inviting people to immerse themselves in off-grid permaculture living. The owners are Permaculture Design Course (PDC) qualified and permaculture tours are offered on the farm.
Yoga & Gym
We offer an outdoor yoga & gym space beautifully crafted from driftwood and equipped with yoga mats, gymnastic rings and jungle weights to facilitate all of your exercise sessions.
